Scalp Threads

Scalp threads, also known as thread lifts or thread rejuvenation, is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of sutures or threads to lift and tighten sagging skin on the scalp and forehead. This non-surgical technique has gained popularity in recent years as a way to achieve a more youthful appearance without the downtime and risks associated with traditional facelift surgery.

During a scalp thread lift, tiny threads made of a biocompatible material, such as polydioxanone (PDO), are inserted under the skin using a fine needle. These threads have small barbs or cones that anchor them in place, allowing them to lift and support the skin as they are tightened. The threads also stimulate the production of collagen, which helps to improve the texture and elasticity of the skin over time.

Scalp thread lifts are typically performed in a clinic or medical spa setting and can take between 30 minutes to an hour to complete. Most patients experience minimal discomfort and can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure. The results of a scalp thread lift can last for up to a year or more, depending on the individual and the type of threads used.
